Transportation Sales & Business Development Manager:

TLX is seeking a Transportation Sales & Business Development Manager to develop and maintain relationships with new clients and provides them with products and services that ensure client satisfaction.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the capacity to initiate contact to prospective customers via cold calls, emails, and direct customer contact, develop profitable and sustainable sales growth of accounts, identify new business opportunities, develop relationships with clients and architect transportation solutions.
The TLX Sales Rep will be expected to develop solutions and implement strategies for all assigned accounts, prepare and present sales proposals, work independently and manage day-to-day customer relationships. They must be comfortable speaking and presenting at all levels of the organization and should possess the knowledge, principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling transportation solutions. exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Identify sales opportunities and develop new accounts.
- Marketing and selling to multiple industries
- Meet sales goals for new accounts, retain and profitably grow customer base.
- Negotiate contract terms, contract structure and Develop compelling proposals and build unique customer solutions.
- Manage complex transactional or emotional customer situations promptly and professionally.
- Demonstrate the ability to handle and prioritize high call volumes and customers inquiries.
- Manage key administrative tasks and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
- Work independently while supporting an overall team mentality
- Effectively manage time and self-motivated.
Experience & Skills Necessary:
- Previous experience within the transportation sales industry required (2 or more years) which includes; freight broker, freight agent, freight sales, truck broker, truck agent, logistics, 3PL, truck dispatch, truckload sales, rate negotiations, customer relationships, tele-sales, cold calling, carrier relationships, truck load sales
- Self-starter who is highly motivated to succeed and maximize profits
- Excellent listening and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate and negotiate with external prospects, customers and internal staff
- Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills
- Creative ability in developing sales strategies and solutions in presenting innovative solutions to customers
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Previous CRM experience (Hub Spot) a plus
Education:
- GED or High School Diploma required
- Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
